What we check

Every requirement comes from the official text: WCAG 2.2 from the W3C, EN 301 549 and EU legislation from EUR-Lex. The report cites the source for each finding.

How a check works

  1. Sign up and enter the address

With Google or email. We read your website's sitemap; if there is none, we collect the links from the home page.

  2. Quick check of the home page

Free. You see which WCAG criteria are affected and whether AI services run without a notice. What the full report adds is listed right below.

  3. Choose pages and pay

Tick the pages that matter. The price appears right below. Payment is handled by Paddle, with an invoice showing VAT.

  4. Get the report

A few minutes later the report is in your account, as a web page and as a PDF in one of seven languages.

An excerpt from a report

Each finding names the criterion, where it occurs and what to do next. Anything a machine cannot decide is marked for manual review, not as passed.

What an automated check does not do

  • It does not replace a full audit. Many WCAG criteria can only be finally judged by a person. We mark these for manual review.
  • It is not legal advice. The AI Act and EAA assessment shows risks and sources; only a lawyer can give a binding opinion.
  • We check publicly reachable pages. Areas behind a login are not included.

Common questions

Does the European Accessibility Act apply to me?

Since 28 June 2025 it applies to, among others, online shops and booking services for consumers. Microenterprises providing services (fewer than 10 staff and no more than €2 million annual turnover or balance sheet total) are exempt. The report includes an assessment for your case.

Do you also check level AAA?

Yes, at no extra charge. Besides the 55 required criteria at levels A and AA, the full report shows the 31 level AAA criteria, such as enhanced contrast of 7:1, 44 px targets and meaningful link texts. Neither the European Accessibility Act nor any other rule requires AAA; the results show where your website can go beyond the legal minimum. Many AAA criteria can only be judged by a person, so the report includes a checklist for them.

What does the free quick check show?

The result of the automated test of your home page: which WCAG criteria are affected and how often, whether chat or AI services run without a notice, and whether there is a cookie banner and a privacy policy. Exactly where the problems are and how to fix them is in the full report.

When do the Article 50 AI Act duties apply?

From 2 August 2026. For generative systems placed on the market before that date, Article 50(2) applies from 2 December 2026.

May I check any website?

We only open publicly reachable pages, just like a visitor. Check websites that you own or work for.

How long does a check take?

About a minute per page. You can close the page; we send an email when the report is ready.

Can I cancel my purchase?

Yes, as long as the report is not ready – with the “Withdraw from contract” button in your account. With your express consent we start right after payment. For pages fully checked by the time you withdraw, you pay a proportionate amount and we refund the rest. Once the report is ready, the right of withdrawal ends. If a check fails for technical reasons, we refund the amount.

Who handles payment?

Paddle.com is our reseller and the seller of your order (Merchant of Record). Paddle charges VAT and issues the invoice.

Do you work with agencies?

Yes. You can check your clients' websites in one account. Enter your company name and VAT ID at checkout, and Paddle issues the invoice to your company, with reverse charge within the EU.

This website only uses cookies that it needs to work. These do not require consent (Article 5(3) ePrivacy Directive).
